Discipline Leader
Below are the typical new hire pay ranges for this position based on location:
$134,210 - $310,820 a year

At CESO, a Discipline Leader provides leadership and accountability for the technical discipline within a Business Unit, ensuring technical excellence, effective resourcing, and strong delivery performance across projects and programs. Operating as a peer to Market Leaders, the Discipline Leader partners closely with them, and the Business Unit Leader, to understand upcoming work, client priorities, and overall project performance metrics. Through direct leadership of Team Leads, the Discipline Leader ensures production teams are aligned, capable, and equipped to execute the work delivered by Project Managers and Program Directors in support of both client commitments and business unit goals.
Primary Responsibilities- Accountable for all aspects of the technical discipline strategy and results across the Business Unit.
- Responsible for the effective utilization of production and technical staff and the technical performance of projects across all the respective Business Unit, with adherence to established budgets and schedules.
- Maintain regular and effective partnerships with the Business Unit Leader and Market Leaders to stay aligned with evolving priorities.
- Coordinate with (Sr) Team Leads and Discipline Leaders in other Business Units to balance workload, address technical needs, and manage staffing requirements.
- Ensure appropriate QA/QC procedures are followed across the Business Unit.
- Ensure design standards are consistently applied and aligned with corporate expectations.
- Responsible for developing career growth plans for employees on the production and technical career path within the Business Unit.
- Collaborate with the Practice Area Leaders and other Discipline Leaders to create and maintain training programs for all positions in the production and technical career path.
- Supervising direct reports is a key responsibility of this job.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field is required.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience is required.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive leadership experience is required.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to influence at all levels and drive strategic initiatives.
- Registered Architect (RA) licensure is required.
- Obtain multi-state licensure as required by CESO to become a signatory for the company.
- Business and/or Leadership Training is preferred.
- Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Newforma Konekt.
- Proficient knowledge over key corporate software programs to understand their purpose and ensure team compliance with expected usage, including but not limited to Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Newforma Konekt, Smartsheet, Mosaic, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Paylocity, Lattice, Lever, Deltek, and Power BI etc.
