Pipelayer / Laborer in Reynoldburg, Ohio at Geotex Construction Services Inc

General Responsibilities

• Install storm, sanitary and waterline pipe
• Set manholes, catch basins, fire hydrants
• Check and adjust grades as required for proper slopes and inverts
• Set up and use pipe lasers, site levels and transit for accurate installations
• Cut, bevel, sling, lift and carry a variety of pipe types including
• Reinforced Concrete
• PVC
• HDPE
• Ductile Iron
• Occasionally operate equipment, including
• Backhoes, Trackloaders, Skidsteers etc.
• Daily inspection of working area and tools for damages or safety issues
• Performing other tasks as directed by site foreman

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to/from various job sites around the Columbus area
• Knowledge of safe working procedures in trenching applications
• Knowledge of layout staking, grades, and benchmarks
• Ability to maintain a high level of awareness and operate in a safe manner at all times
• Ability to retain and apply information and instructions provided by the site foreman
• OSHA 10 Hour and knowledge of safe working procedures in sitework and trenching applications
