Position Summary
Stellar Energy Global Infrastructure (SEGI) is seeking a Quality Director to lead its corporate quality management system and oversee project quality execution for turnkey energy infrastructure EPC projects, ensuring compliance with both SEGI and customer quality requirements. This role is responsible for driving quality throughout the full project lifecycle, from equipment supply projects with a total installed cost (TIC) of $10 million to $200 million or more to large international turnkey EPC power infrastructure projects exceeding $500 million TIC. The Quality Director will develop and maintain SEGI’s Quality Management System (QMS) to support lean, repeatable project execution and ISO compliance. Working closely with the Project Team, this leader will provide quality oversight during design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and startup activities. The Quality Director will also support proposal development and project kickoff by preparing project-specific Quality Plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and provide leadership and training in the development and maintenance of SEGI’s Quality Management System.
- Establish engineering, supply chain, and field inspection quality programs
- Oversee supplier qualification, inspection programs, audits, and corrective actions
- Audit supplier and subcontractor quality system/program, including installation/inspection/testing procedures and records, engineering document control, and non-conformance tracking and resolution.
- Perform site inspection of field construction materials and activities. Coordinate inspections by 3rd parties.
- Champion continuous improvement programs to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
- Assist in the supplier evaluation and selection process.
- Interact with customers regarding quality issues, QMS questions, surveys, etc.
- Support proposal development.
- Maintain good interface with other departments.
- Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or related discipline, from an accredited university.
- 10-15+ years of experience in industrial project QA/QC, preferably in power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical or other industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, API, ASME, NERC and other relevant standards.
- Familiar with quality system, process control, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
Preferred
- Certification in Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt) or Lean strongly preferred.
- Familiar with power generation equipment including gas turbines, transformers, or general mechanical equipment including pumps, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, etc.
