The Head of SEO and AI Visibility will be responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive global search strategy while driving innovation in AI-powered discovery. The role requires a balance of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and close collaboration across teams to deliver sustainable organic growth.
- Own and execute the global SEO strategy across technical SEO, content, on-page optimization, and off-page initiatives to increase organic visibility, qualified traffic, and revenue impact.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SEO specialists and external contributors by setting objectives, establishing processes, and fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
- Define and prioritize the SEO roadmap based on business goals, including revenue growth, organic performance metrics, and AI visibility indicators such as citations, mentions, and brand presence in AI search.
- Drive initiatives to improve discoverability across AI search platforms and large language models by developing and implementing AI visibility optimization strategies.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Analytics teams to ensure SEO priorities are integrated into product development and technical improvements.
- Establish a structured experimentation framework for SEO initiatives, including hypothesis creation, prioritization, testing, measurement, and reporting.
- Shape content strategies by identifying growth opportunities, optimizing content operations, improving templates, and managing refresh cycles based on search trends and user needs.
- Monitor SEO health through regular audits, KPI tracking, competitive analysis, and proactive risk management.
- Communicate performance insights, strategic recommendations, and resource needs to leadership teams through clear, data-driven reporting.
The ideal candidate is an experienced SEO leader with strong technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and a passion for emerging search technologies. You should be comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands-on with execution and experimentation.
- 6–10 years of SEO experience covering technical SEO, content strategy, on-page optimization, and off-page growth initiatives.
- Proven experience leading SEO teams, developing talent, and building high-performing processes.
- Strong background in product-led SaaS environments and international SEO programs.
- Demonstrated experience adapting SEO strategies for AI-driven discovery, LLM optimization, and evolving search behaviors.
- Deep understanding of technical SEO concepts including crawling, indexing, internal linking, information architecture, structured data, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and similar platforms.
- Ability to design experiments, analyze results, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-changing environment.
- Experience collaborating effectively with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex SEO concepts, align stakeholders, and influence decision-making.
- Ability to balance long-term strategy with tactical execution and adapt quickly based on changing market conditions.
- Experience with programmatic SEO, international growth strategies, and product-focused organic acquisition is highly valuable.
