Warehouse Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
•Develops and implements policies and procedures governing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and/or supplies.
•Supports the organization's supply chain strategy through maintenance of appropriate inventory levels and timely distribution of goods.
•Tracks inventory by performing physical counts and verifying information against warehousing systems.
•Ensures warehouse operations comply with regulations governing materials handling, storage, and distribution where applicable.
•Complies with and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.
•Light manufacturing, mainly punching, bending, and cutting a variety of metals with use of power tools (chop saw, power drill, band saw)
•Oversee receiving and shipping operations.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
•Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
•Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
•Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
•Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services.
•Bachelor's degree or at least 6 years of experience preferred.
•Ability to foster teamwork.
•Decision-making, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
•Management skills.
•Oral and written communication skills.
•Planning and time management skills.
•Accuracy and attention to detail.
•Drive forklift- Annual Certification.
Receiving & Processing
•Unloading delivery vehicles and checking received items against purchase orders or bills of lading.
•Inspecting stock for damage, faults, or missing items.
•Labeling, sorting, and routing merchandise to the proper storage locations or departments.
•Physical lifting requirement: up to 55 pounds.
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
•Picking merchandise from storage locations based on work orders or pick lists.
•Packing items securely and applying accurate shipping labels to avoid routing errors.
•Loading outgoing trucks and shipping containers safely and efficiently.
•Physical lifting requirement: up to 55 pounds.
•Use of step ladder and rolling platform ladder.
Inventory Management
•Physically counting and logging inventory levels.
•Rotating stock on shelves
•Identifying discrepancies and reporting lost or damaged items to Purchasing.
•Physical lifting requirement: up to 55 pounds.
•Use of step ladder and rolling platform ladder.
Equipment Operation & Safety
•Safely operating material-handling equipment, such as forklift and hand trucks.
•Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations, which includes wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
•Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
