Accountabilities

As a Strategy Director, you will lead the strategy function within a value creation team, helping organizations develop and execute strategic plans that accelerate growth and maximize long-term value.

  • Serve as the strategic lead by defining priorities, developing frameworks, and owning strategy-related processes and project outcomes.
  • Partner with leadership teams and investment stakeholders to advance value creation strategies and business transformation initiatives.
  • Build and continuously improve strategy capabilities by creating repeatable approaches, best practices, and playbooks.
  • Collaborate with executive teams to develop, implement, and evaluate strategic initiatives that drive business growth.
  • Lead multi-year strategic planning sessions and value creation workshops to align stakeholders on priorities, opportunities, and execution plans.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and strategic assessments to create actionable insights and executive-level recommendations.
  • Support commercial due diligence activities for new investments by evaluating market opportunities, business models, and strategic implications.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, research partners, and consulting firms to support strategic initiatives.
  • Create executive-ready presentations, strategic planning materials, and decision-making frameworks for senior stakeholders.
Requirements

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong consulting experience, business acumen, and the ability to work directly with executives to solve complex growth challenges.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm, corporate strategy role, or similar strategic leadership position.
  • Experience working in high-growth environments, particularly with SaaS or recurring revenue business models.
  • Background supporting private equity clients, commercial diligence projects, or portfolio value creation initiatives is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work directly with C-level executives and independently lead strategic planning workshops.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and actionable plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong executive presence.
  • High emotional intelligence, strong relationship-building abilities, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Self-driven mindset with the ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on individual contributor when needed.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
