We're currently seeking Electrical Technicians to join our Day Shift team at our Price, Utah manufacturing facility.

Work ScheduleDay Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Enjoy every other Friday offPosition SummaryAs an Electrical Technician, you'll assemble, wire, inspect, troubleshoot, and test custom electrical equipment using engineering drawings, schematics, and production documentation. This role is ideal for electricians who enjoy technical work, attention to detail, and building high-quality equipment that serves customers across North America.
Primary ResponsibilitiesElectrical Assembly- Assemble and install electrical components into custom power distribution equipment.
- Wire switchboards, control panels, transformers, PLC systems, relays, breakers, and related assemblies.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Route, terminate, identify, and test wiring systems.
- Modify and repair assemblies when required.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Perform continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, Hi-Pot testing, and operational verification.
- Confirm completed work meets engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and correct wiring or assembly discrepancies.
- Assist with final quality inspections prior to shipment.
Safely operate equipment including:
- Wire strippers
- Crimping tools
- Multimeters
- Volt/Ohm meters
- Hi-Pot testers
- Power drills
- Hand tools
- Overhead cranes
- Forklifts
- Material hoists
Maintain all assigned tools and workstations in clean, safe operating condition.

- Utilize hand tools including wire strippers, crimpers, drills, utility knives, and electrical testing equipment.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and lifting equipment as needed during assembly.
- Properly maintain and store tools and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Consistently maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all IE safety policies, procedures, and Core Values.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and arrive prepared to work each scheduled day.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma
Electrician in Training
• 0 - 2,000 hours of on the job electrician experience
• Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, blueprint reading a plus but not required
Electrical Technician LV 1
• 2,000 hours of on the job electrician experience
• Passes IE Electrical Technician 1 Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher
Electrical Technician LV 2
• 2,000-4,000 hours of on the job electrician experience
• Passes IE Electrical Technician 2 Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher
Electrical Technician LV 3
• 4,000-6,000 hours of on the job electrician experience
• Passes IE Electrical Technician 3 Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher
Electrical Technician LV 4
• 8,000+ hours of on the job electrician experience
• Passes IE Senior Electrical Technician Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher & State
Journeyman license in UT/CO
Senior Electrical Technician
• 6,000-8,000 hours of on the job electrician experience
• Passes IE Electrical Technician 3 Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher
• Journeyman license in UT/CO
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read, interpret, understand electrical schematics/ drawings and specification charts and make direct application to project set up and final product. Must be able to read, and understand production reports related to quality, and quantity.
- Must be able to write NCR’s and comply with safety rules. Must be able to establish productive and effective communication ties and relationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and staff.
- Ability to compute electrical calculations – ohms, resistance, voltage, fusing capacity, etc.
- Must be able to accurately follow schematics and electrical drawings and wire match such.
- Ability to understand and know company operation costs and production costs and production overrun costs.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to analyze and understand project plan documents and specifications and successfully resolve practical problems and they may occur.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be able to use computer to log in time and job hours.
For individuals based in Colorado or Utah where the individual is pursuing a Journeymen’s license through a state authority, and where IE is recognized in the state as a licensed contractor, they must maintain a valid apprentice license to receive signed hours towards that requirement. [Not required for IL or OH based employees]
- Must possess valid OSHA forklift and Overhead Crane certification or ability to obtain such.
- Must comply with and follow all IE safety programs, policies and procedures.
- Must operate and perform job duties in a safe manner. Must be able to operate/work safely around machinery/moving equipment.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision, Color Vision, Depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. Must be able to perform frequent heavy lifting and continual bending and standing on a concrete floor.
Work Schedule: Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and additional time as required.
