Position Summary:
The Buyer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement and supplier management. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and optimize inventory levels to support production requirements and minimize costs. This position requires strong negotiation skills and supply chain expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure the timely acquisition of materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations while optimizing costs and minimizing risks.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, and negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Manage supplier relationships.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, forecast demand, and develop procurement plans to support production schedules and customer needs.
Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and strategic partnerships.
Lead supplier selection and qualification processes, including supplier audits, quality assessments, and risk assessments, to ensure compliance with Matikon standards.
Ensure compliance with Matikon policies procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement, including ethical sourcing practices and environmental sustainability initiatives.

Preferred Education and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to analyze data.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
