Sr. Contracts Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Contracts Specialist based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of legal, commercial, and operational execution, supporting a fast-paced organization where contracts directly enable revenue and customer delivery. You will manage the full lifecycle of complex commercial agreements, acting as a key advisor to sales, procurement, and internal stakeholders while ensuring clarity, consistency, and risk awareness across all contractual engagements. The environment is highly collaborative and business-driven, requiring strong judgment to translate legal language into practical guidance that accelerates deal velocity. You will serve as a central point of contact for contractual matters, helping teams navigate negotiations with confidence and precision. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in remote, cross-functional settings and enjoys balancing detail-oriented legal work with commercial problem-solving.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, redlining, negotiating, execution, and ongoing administration across customer, vendor, reseller, subcontractor, and government agreements.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert and point of contact for all contractual matters, advising internal stakeholders and external partners on rights, obligations, and risk implications.
  • Partner closely with sales, professional services, and cross-functional teams to support deal progression, ensure contractual alignment, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Interpret and translate complex contractual language into clear, actionable business guidance that supports decision-making and operational execution.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
  • Support resolution of contract-related issues, ensuring smooth execution of obligations and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Requirements:

This role requires 5–10 years of experience independently negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts, ideally with exposure to enterprise or Fortune 200/500 customers. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Legal Studies, or equivalent professional experience (including paralegal certification) is expected. You should have a strong business-oriented mindset, with the ability to translate legal and contractual complexity into clear, practical guidance. Experience working with CLM systems (Ironclad preferred), Salesforce, and modern contract workflows is highly valuable. Strong negotiation, organizational, and time management skills are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. The role also requires a collaborative, service-oriented approach and comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.

  • 5–10 years of commercial contract negotiation experience
  • Experience with enterprise customers and complex B2B agreements
  • Strong knowledge of contract structures, risk allocation, and legal terminology
  • Familiarity with CLM platforms (Ironclad preferred) and Salesforce
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate legal complexity into business-friendly guidance
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of organizational discipline
  • Comfortable working remotely with cross-functional teams
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and expertise
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Flexible remote work environment within the United States
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) and paid company holidays
  • Retirement plan eligibility with employer contributions
  • Home office and mobile/technology allowances (where applicable)
  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth, security-focused organization
  • Exposure to complex enterprise, government, and strategic commercial deals
