Job Description
ms consultants is seeking a Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) to join our growing surveying team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting a wide variety of land surveying projects while working in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

- Assist with field surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking
- Operate survey instruments such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors
- Support office staff with data processing, mapping, and preparation of survey deliverables
- Conduct research of deeds, plats, and public records for survey projects
- Maintain survey equipment and follow established safety procedures
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Basic understanding of land surveying principles and practices
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Educational Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or in progress)
- Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
- Internship or prior experience in land surveying preferred
