Supervisor, Onboarding Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Supervisor, Onboarding Operations based in United States.

This role leads the day-to-day execution of onboarding operations, ensuring new hires transition smoothly, compliantly, and on time into the organization. It combines team leadership with hands-on operational oversight across high-volume onboarding workflows in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. The supervisor manages onboarding coordinators, balances workloads, and ensures service quality and readiness for start dates. The role acts as a key escalation point for onboarding challenges while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external partners. It also plays a critical part in improving processes, enhancing compliance, and elevating the overall candidate and employee experience. With a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and accountability, this position directly supports workforce readiness and operational continuity across the organization.

Accountabilities
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and performance management for onboarding coordinators, fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment.
  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant execution across regions and business lines.
  • Monitor onboarding workflows, candidate progression, and workload distribution to ensure readiness for start dates and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for onboarding issues, resolving complex cases and removing operational barriers.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external healthcare partners to ensure seamless onboarding coordination, compliance, and communication.
  • Track onboarding metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance quality, turnaround time, and service delivery.
  • Maintain onboarding documentation, audits, and records to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in onboarding operations, HR operations, healthcare operations, or similar environments.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to guide, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong understanding of onboarding processes, HR compliance requirements, and regulated operational environments.
  • Advanced organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage high-volume workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS, onboarding platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and adapt to evolving operational priorities.
