This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Communications Director based in the United States.

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on shaping and amplifying a global corporate narrative within the cybersecurity and AI space.
You will drive strategic communications that position the organization as a thought leader in application security and emerging AI-driven threats.
The role sits at the intersection of technology, media, and executive storytelling in a fast-moving, news-driven environment.
You will collaborate closely with executives, product leaders, and security experts to translate complex innovations into compelling narratives.
A strong emphasis is placed on proactive media engagement, rapid response to industry events, and global PR strategy execution.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead global media relations strategy, building and executing PR plans that strengthen brand visibility and market leadership in cybersecurity and AI.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, analysts, and influencers across technology, security, and enterprise media.
  • Create high-quality communications materials including press releases, media pitches, op-eds, Q&As, briefing documents, and executive messaging.
  • Manage and guide external PR agencies across U.S. and international markets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive executive communications and thought leadership initiatives, including speeches, presentations, and public positioning.
  • Oversee rapid-response communications, ensuring timely and effective commentary on breaking news and industry developments.
  • Partner with internal teams to translate research, product innovation, and threat intelligence into compelling external narratives.
  • Monitor media coverage, sentiment, and competitive positioning to refine communication strategies and identify opportunities.
Requirements:
  • 8–10+ years of experience in media relations, corporate communications, or PR, ideally within high-growth technology or cybersecurity sectors.
  • 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, including familiarity with AppSec, DevSecOps, security tools, and enterprise risk environments.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, including generative AI, agentic systems, and emerging security implications.
  • Proven track record of building relationships with U.S. and international tech/security media outlets.
  • Experience managing external PR agencies, including performance oversight and budget accountability.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills, with experience in both proactive and rapid-response communications.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, distributed environments.
  • High executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business narratives.
