Role Summary

The Reports & Data Analyst is a great entry point for an early-career data professional who wants to build real skills in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company. You'll support our Revenue Operations and Customer Success teams by turning data into clear, useful reporting — the kind that actually gets read and acted on.

This isn't a back-office reporting job. You'll be hands-on across internal dashboards, client-facing reports, CRM data, and executive presentations — and you'll be expected to leverage AI tools like Claude to work smarter and deliver faster. What You'll Do

Reporting & Delivery

  • Support the delivery of scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly reports — learning to manage timelines and maintain accuracy as you grow in the role.
  • Work with stakeholders across Operations, Sales, Account Management, and Leadership to understand reporting needs and help build frameworks that answer the right questions.
  • Help build and maintain internal dashboards that make data easier to understand and act on.
  • Assist in delivering client-facing reports that meet ScoutLogic's quality standards and support strong client relationships.

Analysis & Insights

  • Support analysis on business KPIs — learning to identify trends, surface risks, and communicate findings in a way that's clear and useful to non-technical audiences.
  • Assist with CRM reporting and margin analysis to give Revenue Operations and leadership timely financial visibility.
  • Help translate datasets into summaries and visuals that make insights accessible to any audience.

Executive & Strategic Support

  • Support the creation of presentation materials for leadership forums including Monthly Business Reviews, Client Business Reviews, and Board Meeting prep.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales teams to pull together reporting that helps them track performance and identify opportunities.
  • Pitch in on ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests — bringing attention to detail and a willingness to learn to every task.

Automation & Scale

  • Use AI tools — including Claude— to assist with report drafting, data summarization, pattern spotting, and automating repetitive tasks in your workflow.
  • Learn and apply automation tools and techniques to reduce manual effort and help scale reporting delivery as the business grows.
  • Proactively look for ways to make reporting processes faster, more consistent, and easier to maintain.
What You'll Bring

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in a data, reporting, analytics, or related role — internships and co-ops count.
  • Comfortable working with data in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with basic formulas, pivot tables, and data cleaning.
  • Familiarity with at least one BI or visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Google Data Studio) — you don't need to be an expert, but you should know your way around.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude for writing assistance, data summarization, or workflow support — or a genuine eagerness to learn.
  • Proficient understanding of CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and strong care for data accuracy.
  • Clear communicator — you can explain what a dataset is saying in plain language.

Preferred

  • Some exposure to SQL — even basic SELECT queries puts you ahead.
  • Experience with automation tools like Zapier, Make, or similar — or curiosity to learn them.
  • Familiarity with background screening, HR tech, or SaaS business models is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • Any experience supporting executive or client-facing presentations or reports.
  • A portfolio, class project, or internship work that shows how you've worked with data.
