Position Statement: Responsible for processing, distributing, and storing washable linens and garments. Tasks include washing, ironing, folding, inspecting, and fabricating specialty items. Our laundry workers are a key player to the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate laundry equipment including tumblers, dryers, and washers.
• Sort and inspect laundry for cleanliness and damage.
• Fold and store clean linen appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry area and equipment.
• Log laundry activities and maintain records.
• Drive company van for deliveries (requires valid VT driver’s license).
• Ensure proper handling of specialty items and garments.
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective clothing.
• Assist with inventory management of linens and supplies.
• Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• 3–6 months of related experience preferred.
• Valid Vermont driver’s license with clean record (if driving).
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a warm climate and wearing protective clothing.
