| Position Summary: | The University is seeking an experienced, visionary, and energetic leader to serve as its next Head Track & Field Coach. The Head Track and Field Coach provides leadership, organization and is responsible for all aspects of a competitive Division I track & field program. This position is responsible for all aspects of the track and field program and oversees the Head Coach for Cross County. The Head Track and Field Coach serves as the leader and head coach and with the aid of the assistant coaches, and Head Cross Country Coach, primarily instructs, trains and coaches student athletes about the sports and skills required and to be maintained for Division I competition. The Head Track and Field Coach will also instruct student-athletes for purposes of academic, social development, compliance requirements, and safety and health considerations. The Head Track and Field Coach will recruit quality student athletes and engage in strategic leadership, addressing matters such as team composition, competition strategies, and peak performance. This position performs additional duties related to coaching, as needed (e.g., compliance education, budget management, equipment procurement, fundraising and other duties). This position shall comply with the published constitution, bylaws, interpretations, rules or regulations of the NCAA, Atlantic 1 Conference or the University. This is a full time, 12 month position with full benefits. This position will require some travel and many evening, weekend and some holiday hours. |
