We are looking for a Boiler Water Chemical Treatment Manager to join our team.
This position is responsible for coordinating boiler water treatment service work, preparing work orders, scheduling site visits, reviewing technicians’ field reports, analyzing boiler water chemistry, identifying potential issues, and helping develop solutions for proper boiler water treatment.
The right candidate should have knowledge of water chemistry for low-pressure steam boilers and hydronic boilers, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with building maintenance personnel, technicians, supervisors, and customers.
This is a hands-on administrative and technical support role within a stable, long-standing commercial heating company. The position requires attention to detail, strong follow-up skills, and the ability to manage scheduling, reports, and service-related information accurately.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize boiler water treatment work orders.
- Schedule site visits with building maintenance personnel and field technicians.
- Review and analyze boiler water chemistry field reports.
- Identify water chemistry issues and assist with developing appropriate treatment solutions.
- Monitor field reports for proper boiler water chemistry, treatment levels, and service recommendations.
- Communicate professionally with customers, building maintenance staff, technicians, supervisors, and internal office staff.
- Follow up on service needs, report findings, and recommended corrective actions.
- Assist with coordinating technician schedules and service priorities.
- Maintain organized records of work orders, field reports, customer information, and service history.
- Support proper treatment practices for low-pressure steam boilers and hydronic boiler systems.
- Assist with customer questions related to boiler water treatment service, reports, and scheduling.
- Help ensure that boiler water treatment services are completed accurately, professionally, and on time.

Experience Preferred
- Chemical treatment: 1 year preferred
- Boiler water treatment experience preferred
- Experience with low-pressure steam boilers or hydronic boilers preferred
- Experience reviewing field reports, service reports, or water chemistry reports preferred
- Customer service, scheduling, dispatching, or service co-ordination experience is a plus
License / Certification
- Driver’s License preferred
- Boiler water treatment, chemical treatment, mechanical, HVAC, or related certifications are a plus

Qualifications / Skills
- Understanding of water chemistry in low-pressure steam boilers and hydronic boilers.
- Knowledge of Scotch marine fire tube boilers preferred.
- Ability to analyze boiler water chemistry field reports.
- Ability to identify problems and assist with developing appropriate treatment solutions.
- Knowledge of oxygen corrosion control.
- Knowledge of oxygen scavengers.
- Understanding of pH balancing, alkalinity, TDS, and conductivity.
- Familiarity with various boiler blowdown methods.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
- Ability to prepare and manage work orders accurately.
- Ability to co-ordinate site visits with customers, building maintenance personnel, and field technicians.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing reports, service records, and water chemistry results.
- Ability to follow up on open items and communicate service needs clearly.
- Dependable, professional, and able to work well with both office and field staff.
- Ability to handle customer information, service records, and internal documentation with discretion.
Minimum Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of chemical treatment, boiler water treatment, HVAC, boiler service, mechanical maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred.
- Prior experience with low-pressure steam boilers, hydronic boilers, Scotch marine fire tube boilers, or commercial heating equipment is a plus.
