What we need:

NPC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and facility support activities. Under general supervision, this role is responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, equipment, and related systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will follow established procedures and complete assignments based on both written and verbal instructions.

What you’ll do:

Prioritize safety at all times and promote safe work practices throughout the facilityPerform general maintenance and repair work on facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and glazing tasksTroubleshoot and perform minor repairs on locks, cabinets, closets, desks, and other fixtureRepair door hardware, clean keyways, and replace HVAC filters as neededAssist with moving, transporting, and setting up furniture and equipmentActivate and deactivate building alarm systems and respond to alarm calls during and after regular business hoursInspect, operate, and test equipment to diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and associated costsClean, lubricate, and service machine components such as bearings, gears, shafts, and other moving partsPerform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, efficient building operations, and preservation of facility assetsInspect motors, drives, belts, fluid levels, and filters, and complete maintenance tasks according to established checklistsAssemble, install, and repair electrical systems, wiring, plumbing systems, machinery, and related equipmentOrder and maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment as neededAdjust, calibrate, and maintain equipment using appropriate tools and measuring instrumentsOperate welding and cutting equipment to repair or fabricate metal componentsInstall, align, and balance new equipment to ensure proper operationInspect and evaluate worn or damaged parts to determine repair or replacement needsSet up and operate machine tools to fabricate or repair components, fixtures, and equipmentPerform general cleaning and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and work areas

Inspecting tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safe operationSafely and effectively using a variety of hand and power toolsOperating equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom liftsFollowing written and verbal instructions accuratelyCommunicating clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writingBuilding and maintaining positive working relationships with coworkers, vendors, and customerDemonstrating flexibility, including the ability to be on-call and work weekends or after-hours when required
