Payroll Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
The Payroll Specialist is responsible to supervise, oversee and administer the payroll and compliance process for the Company and its subsidiaries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet ongoing business needs or additional duties may be assigned per employee’s growth and development.
- Process weekly and biweekly Payrolls for approximately 300+ employees (Union and Non-Union) via ADP Payroll services.
- Process Prevailing Wage certified payrolls.
- Process union reporting.
- Reviews all Payroll reporting to ensure accurate and timely filing with appropriate governmental authorities.
- Ensures accurate withholdings and submission of Payroll taxes and other deductions through ADP.
- Drives preparation of amendments (if needed) and follow up on tax resolution issues.
- Runs Payroll related integration files for tax and garnishments.
- Ensures regulatory compliance regarding FLSA, Garnishments, Certified Payrolls, Union Dues, Prevailing Wage, Levy’s, Payroll taxes, local leave laws, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Two-year Accounting degree or Associates Degree or equivalent education and combined experience
- 2 years or more of Payroll/Accounting experience
- Experience in manufacturing or construction is preferred
