Associate, Supply Chain Operations in Lawrence, Massachusetts at Merrimack Health

JOB SUMMARY: Supports the department in many aspects, including operations for the code cart replenishment process and code cart management, mobile equipment management and mailroom management. Supports the day-to-day operations with the goal of enhancing the department’s dependability, quality, and efficiency. Enforce MH policy and guidelines related to mobile medical equipment and the cardiac code carts throughout the facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages daily cardiac code cart, mobile equipment, and mailroom activities to help achieve department and organizational goals.
• Develop and implement mobile equipment organization plans and executes strategies
• Checks for damaged mobile equipment and coordinate with facilities for repairs.
• Delivers and retrieves mobile equipment to and from storage areas
• Consistent rounding of all hospital units to ensure needs are met, and mobile equipment is not sitting idle in the hallways.
• Collaborate with other Materials Management staff on handling of code cart and mailroom activities
• Responsible for sorting of incoming mail as well as coordination of outgoing mail
• Respond to work requests from hospital departments / staff in a timely and accurate manner
• Provides excellent customer service to both patients and staff
• Communicates issues, barriers, and relevant info effectively to the supervisor.
• Works independently, being flexible, responsive, organized, and able to function under stressful situations.
• Completes other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• 1 or more years of experience
• Hospital experience
