Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dish ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
• Collaborate with kitchen and front of house staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
• Follow all food handling procedures to uphold safety standards and prevent cross-contamination

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within the food industry or restaurant environment
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and servers
• Prior experience in catering, menu planning, or food service is highly desirable
• CA Food Handlers Card upon hire required
