The Lead Patient Accounts Specialist is responsible for the efficient and orderly resolution of all patient accounts assigned by a designated alpha group. Ensures accurate and complete payment by insurance companies and patients, as well as accurate account adjustments pursuant to hospital policy. The Lead position will also be responsible for the Charge Capture Audit (CCA) software, daily charge rejections, providing coverage within the department, assisting patients via telephone and walk-ins, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification Program

Required:

• Three or more years in an acute hospital business office setting.
