Forklift Driver in Leesburg, Florida at AMTEX-NMS INC

Position Objective: The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to move, locate, stack, and load materials in the warehouse(s). This role ensures efficient material handling while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load, unload, move, and stack materials or products in designated areas
• Inspect equipment daily to ensure proper operation and report maintenance needs
• Verify and track inventory, materials, and shipments for accuracy
• Follow site layout plans and storage procedures for proper material placement
• Assist with general warehouse or site duties as needed
• Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors
• Adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and operating procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED
• Must be able to meet site certification requirements
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory practices
• Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and product labels

Job Requirements:

• This position requires frequent sitting while operating equipment, along with regular standing, walking, and climbing in and out of machinery. The role may involve lifting and carrying materials, as well as working in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and dust. Good hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and the ability to remain alert and focused are essential for safe equipment operation.
