This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and driving regional communications strategy across Latin America, with a strong focus on institutional reputation, stakeholder engagement, and mission-driven storytelling. You will lead the development of scalable communication frameworks, ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across multiple countries and audiences. The role combines strategic vision with operational execution, requiring the ability to build and lead high-performing teams while managing complex, matrixed environments. You will oversee multi-channel communications, strengthen partner relationships, and elevate organizational visibility across the region. Working closely with global and regional leadership, you will translate global priorities into culturally relevant regional strategies. - Design and lead the regional communications strategy across Latin America, ensuring alignment with global priorities and mission objectives.
- Build and scale the LATAM communications function, including team structure, workflows, governance, and operational processes.
- Lead strategic storytelling and institutional narratives that enhance reputation, visibility, and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee multi-channel communications, including digital platforms, social media, PR, newsletters, and institutional content.
- Develop and manage internal and external communications strategies to strengthen alignment, transparency, and engagement.
- Lead partner and stakeholder communications, supporting engagement, recognition, and mission alignment across the region.
- Manage regional events, campaigns, agencies, vendors, and communications budgets with clear strategic direction.
- Serve as the key liaison between regional teams and global communications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Establish performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and governance structures to measure communications impact.
- Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing regional communications team.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in communications leadership roles.
- Proven experience in regional or global communications within complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong background in nonprofit, healthcare, public health, or mission-driven environments.
- Demonstrated success building or transforming communications functions, including governance and operating models.
- Expertise in strategic communications, storytelling, and executive-level messaging.
- Experience managing agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams across multiple markets.
- Strong ability to design and execute multi-channel communications campaigns.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills across diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese (required).
- Ability to operate in complex, fast-paced, and multicultural environments with high emotional intelligence.
- Competitive salary ranging from USD 47,000 to 57,000 per year (CLT contract).
