Job Description

About the Company

Matter Health delivers primary and preventive healthcare directly to older adults living in public housing communities.

Our mission is simple: improve healthcare access by meeting patients where they are and building trusted relationships within the communities we serve. We are growing rapidly across Tennessee and are building a team of mission-driven leaders who thrive in fast-paced, people-centered environments.

Total Healthcare. Where you live.

About the Role

Matter Health is seeking a Regional Vice President, Market Operations to lead operational performance, workforce support, and market execution across multiple Southeast markets. This executive leadership role partners closely with clinical, operational, and executive leadership teams to support sustainable growth, operational consistency, and an exceptional patient and employee experience across the region.

This role is responsible for driving regional operational execution, supporting market leaders and field teams, improving operational performance, and helping scale market infrastructure as Matter Health continues to expand. The ideal candidate is a hands-on healthcare operations leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and enjoys building strong teams, scalable systems, and operational accountability across multiple markets.

This role focuses on regional field leadership and market execution while partnering closely with centralized operational and clinical leadership teams to support Matter Health’s integrated care model.

This role operates within Matter Health’s dyad operating model in partnership with the VP, Clinical Affairs. Clinical leadership owns care standards, clinical workflows, and clinical protocols, while this role leads operational execution, workflow optimization, staffing operations, centralized Care Operations services, and technology adoption. Shared accountability exists for patient experience, care coordination effectiveness, and operational execution across the care model.

Although this role is remote, candidates based in Tennessee or the Southeast region are strongly preferred due to regular market travel and in-person leadership collaboration.

What You'll Do

• Lead operational performance across multiple Southeast markets and field-based teams

• Partner closely with clinical and operational leadership to support patient care delivery and market growth initiatives

• Support market leaders, workforce planning, staffing coordination, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives

• Drive accountability, operational consistency, and process improvement across regional markets

• Monitor operational KPIs, market performance metrics, and patient experience outcomes

• Support market expansion efforts and operational readiness initiatives

• Collaborate cross-functionally with recruiting, HR, finance, clinical leadership, and executive teams

• Foster a positive, mission-driven culture focused on accountability, service, and community impact

Qualifications

• 7+ years of healthcare operations leadership experience

• Experience leading multi-site, regional, or field-based healthcare operations teams

• Strong operational leadership, workforce management, and organizational skills

• Experience supporting operational growth across multiple markets or territories

• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills

• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving healthcare environments

• Passion for improving healthcare access and serving underserved communities

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

Strongly Preferred

• Experience in value-based care, population health, primary care, or community-based healthcare

• Experience supporting field-based healthcare teams and regional operational performance

• Startup or high-growth healthcare organization experience

• Experience helping scale operational infrastructure across expanding healthcare markets
