Regional Safety Manager

This role is responsible for driving safety, health, and environmental excellence across a distributed network of fulfillment operations, ensuring compliance, operational consistency, and a strong safety culture. The Regional Safety Manager will act as a strategic partner to site leadership teams, embedding safety into daily operations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities. You will oversee safety programs, audits, training, and incident management processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards. This position requires strong field expertise, the ability to influence cross-functional teams, and a data-driven approach to reducing risk and improving operational performance. You will play a key role in shaping a proactive safety culture where employee well-being and operational excellence go hand in hand. The role is ideal for a seasoned safety professional who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site environments and enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on execution.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) programs, policies, and procedures across multiple fulfillment center locations.
  • Lead initiatives focused on injury prevention, risk reduction, and continuous improvement through data-driven safety strategies.
  • Conduct and oversee audits, inspections, and compliance assessments, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, non-compliance issues, and operational safety risks.
  • Deliver safety training programs and coaching to employees and leaders to reinforce best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations, including hazardous materials and waste management standards.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report safety performance metrics to drive ongoing improvement and operational accountability.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience managing safety programs in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or similar operational environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science, Safety Engineering, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Strong expertise in SHE compliance, including OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and environmental safety requirements.
  • Experience managing multi-site safety operations and developing scalable safety systems.
  • Strong background in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies in operational settings.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence site leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
