POSITION SUMMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in implementation of project-specific safety and accident prevention programs and maintain safe work areas through regular job-site inspections.
- Lead McCarthys Task Hazard Analysis (THA) process and implement all safety and EEO/Affirmative Action programs.
- Maintain thorough understanding of project schedule and budget, enforcing plans and motivating employees to follow through.
- Assist project superintendent in locating/onboarding manpower, developing/implementing project plans and maintaining current contract documents.
- Schedule and manage multiple crews performing various tasks across the project site.
- Allocate resources, plan activities, review work and manage consumables/equipment, including compiling a comprehensive bill of materials and coordinating deliveries.
- Comprehend contract drawings/specifications and communicate with owners, inspectors and other trades.
- Create isometric drawings and assist project engineers in the shop drawing/submittal process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in complex commercial or mission critical construction projects required.
8+ years of mechanical leadership experience required, preferably within a pipefitting setting. - Self-perform experience is strongly desired.
- Ability to work in a large team environment with a problem-solving, project-first mentality.
- Determination to take control and achieve results in identifying issues, reaching resolution and communicating with all team members to ensure work is installed properly the first time.
- Geographically mobile and able to relocate within a region is preferred however nationwide travel is possible to support project demands.
- Submitting a project list with details is highly encouraged.
