ECMO Specialist RT in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The ECMO Specialist participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive patient care services centered on extracorporeal therapies.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Completion of University Health or other ELSO-based ECMO training program preferred. Minimum 1 year of ECMO experience preferred. Degree preferred. Must have a minimum 2 years critical care experience (PICU, NICU, CICU, EC). Must obtain BLS, PALS, ACLS and University Hospital System ECMO certifications within 6 months of hire.

LICENSURE
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license with the Texas State Board of Health required.
