About the Role:
The Warehouse Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse activities within the organization. This position is responsible for managing inventory records, coordinating shipments and deliveries, and maintaining accurate documentation to support warehouse functions. The Warehouse Administrator acts as a liaison between warehouse staff, suppliers, and management to facilitate effective communication and problem resolution. By overseeing daily administrative tasks, this role helps optimize warehouse workflows and supports timely order fulfillment. Ultimately, the Warehouse Administrator contributes to maintaining high standards of accuracy, organization, and compliance within the warehouse environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in warehouse administration or a related logistical role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in warehouse operations.
- Ability to analyze data and generate detailed operational reports.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update inventory databases to ensure accurate stock levels and records.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling and tracking deliveries.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Communicate with warehouse personnel, suppliers, and logistics providers to resolve issues and streamline operations.
- Monitor warehouse supplies and equipment, initiating procurement as needed.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and reporting discrepancies.
- Support compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse.
- Generate reports on warehouse activities and performance metrics for management review.
