Senior Director, Global Medical Affairs

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director, Global Medical Affairs. Reporting to the VP, Head of Global Medical Affairs, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all Crescent Biopharma assets across all tumor types. This role provides deep therapeutic expertise, shapes evidence generation priorities, and ensures scientific excellence across all medical activities. A core responsibility is leading medical communication and publication strategy, ensuring consistent, high-quality dissemination of data across internal and external audiences. You will partner closely with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Translational Medicine, Regulatory Affairs, Legal/IP, and Corporate Communications.

Responsibilities
  • Drive publication planning in partnership with internal authors, external experts, and publication agencies.
  • Oversee development of abstracts, posters, oral presentations, manuscripts, review articles, and medical educational materials.
  • Ensure scientific communications are accurate, balanced, compliant, and aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Serve as the key medical representative on program and study execution teams, providing scientific and medical expertise to support cross-functional deliverables such as early development strategy, trial designs, and recruitment.
  • Engage with the global medical community, building and maintaining a strong thought leader and expert network.
  • Identify emerging trends, competitive intelligence, and unmet needs to inform strategy and evidence generation
  • Represent Global Medical Affairs at national and international scientific congresses, professional societies, and stakeholder forums
Education & Experience
  • Advanced medical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent).
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs within the biopharmaceutical industry, with significant oncology (solid tumors) expertise.
  • Strong understanding of oncology clinical development, competitive landscape, and evolving standards of care.
  • Demonstrated leadership in medical communications, publication strategy, and scientific narrative development
  • Experience interacting with global KOLs, academic institutions, and professional societies.
  • Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced biotechnology environment.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance high-level planning and operational execution.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% or as dictated by the needs of the business

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $240,000 to $280,000. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – Unlimited PTO; Sick time – 10 days per calendar year; Holiday pay, including two Company shut downs; Parental Leave – 16 weeks within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child; FMLA; Military Leave.
