Job Description

German-speaking Performance Marketing Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a German-speaking Performance Marketing Lead based in Ireland.

We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Performance Marketing Lead to drive paid acquisition across a diverse portfolio of more than 25 B2B SaaS brands. This role combines strategic ownership with practical campaign management, giving you the opportunity to shape performance marketing standards while directly managing high-value advertising accounts. You will lead a network of PPC freelancers, guide budget allocation, and ensure consistent campaign quality across brands with different goals and spending levels. Working closely with analytics, SEO, and acquisition teams, you will strengthen tracking, attribution, and reporting processes. You will also help integrate newly acquired businesses into the wider paid marketing ecosystem. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a German-speaking expert who thrives on autonomy, enjoys solving complex performance challenges, and knows how to turn data and AI into measurable growth.

Accountabilities
  • Own the paid acquisition strategy, performance standards, and campaign quality across a portfolio of 25+ B2B SaaS brands.

  • Personally manage and optimise high-priority advertising accounts across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other relevant platforms.

  • Develop and test ad copy, targeting strategies, landing pages, and campaign structures to improve lead generation and overall marketing performance.

  • Lead and support a network of PPC freelancers by setting objectives, reviewing account performance, approving budgets, challenging strategic decisions, and coordinating regular check-ins.

  • Advise brand stakeholders on channel selection, budget allocation, and realistic performance expectations, prioritising lead quality and business outcomes over vanity metrics.

  • Establish consistent campaign structures, conversion tracking, reporting practices, and documentation to maintain high standards across brands and support scalable growth.

  • Audit and integrate the paid advertising setups of newly acquired businesses, ensuring smooth transitions and minimising disruption to campaign performance.

  • Collaborate with data analytics specialists to improve tracking, attribution, offline conversion imports, and CRM data integration with advertising platforms.

  • Support acquisition due diligence by evaluating paid marketing performance and identifying opportunities and risks within prospective businesses.

  • Maintain close alignment with SEO and other marketing functions to ensure coordinated acquisition strategies.

  • Identify practical applications for AI tools to improve campaign research, analysis, optimisation, and reporting workflows.

Requirements:
  • Several years of experience owning substantial paid media budgets, ideally €1 million or more annually, while remaining actively involved in campaign execution and optimisation.

  • Strong B2B lead-generation experience, particularly in search advertising, with an understanding of low conversion volumes, long sales cycles, and the importance of lead quality.

  • Experience managing campaigns across a wide range of budgets, from a few thousand euros per month to six-figure monthly investments, with the ability to prioritise effectively when resources are limited.

  • Advanced expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, along with strong hands-on experience in LinkedIn Ads and the ability to learn additional platforms as business needs evolve.

  • Solid understanding of marketing measurement and attribution, including GA4, Google Tag Manager, offline conversion imports, and CRM integrations.

  • German proficiency at C1 level or above, or native-level fluency, with the ability to write and review persuasive German-language advertising copy.

  • Fluent English communication skills for collaborating with international colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities, combined with sound judgement in budget allocation and performance optimisation.

  • Experience leading external specialists or freelancers, providing constructive feedback, setting clear expectations, and maintaining accountability without relying on formal line management.

  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI-powered workflows, with practical experience using tools such as Claude or similar platforms to improve research, analysis, campaign execution, or reporting.

  • A self-directed, adaptable working style suited to a fully remote environment, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and communicate recommendations clearly.

Benefits:
  • Fully remote work: Work from a location that suits you, with flexibility over how you organise your working day.

  • Autonomy and ownership: Take responsibility for paid performance strategy across a diverse portfolio and shape how the function evolves.

  • Flexible time off: Enjoy flexibility to recharge and maintain a sustainable work-life balance.

  • Low-bureaucracy environment: Spend less time navigating unnecessary processes and more time delivering meaningful results.

  • Collaborative team culture: Work with friendly, supportive colleagues who value knowledge-sharing, initiative, and practical problem-solving.

  • Professional network: Connect with SaaS professionals across different businesses, exchanging expertise, ideas, and best practices.

  • AI-driven innovation: Explore and implement emerging AI tools to improve marketing efficiency and performance.

  • Transparent compensation: Location-adjusted salary ranges are shared in writing before the first interview, helping candidates assess the opportunity with clarity.
