RSi is looking to fill a Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Specialist position to support our Army customer on the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft program (FLRAA) at Army Redstone Test Center (Huntsville, AL). This position serves as the primary onsite technical authority and operator for the FLRAA MV-75 simulation environment. You will ensure maximum operational readiness of simulation enclaves, tactical host computers, and facility power and HVAC systems.

Summary of duties include but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily system initialization, readiness testing, and visual display calibration
  • Operate the Instructor Operator Station (IOS) to support military aircrews during training events.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues down to the Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level and coordinate complex repairs with engineering reach-back teams.
  • Execute system modifications by receiving, verifying, and uploading OEM software updates and patches, followed by operational checks to confirm proper functionality.
  • Support the Program Office during the prototype-to-FTD transition, including reviewing upgrade plans and technical documentation, and assisting with testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure concurrency with aircraft configurations.
  • Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and monthly load‑bank testing on the facility’s dedicated 10K diesel generator.
  • Conduct physical inventories of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and submit maintenance and discrepancy reports.
  • Perform onsite maintenance using Program Structure Documents and Maintenance/Operations Manuals provided by Bell, CAE, and TRU Simulation.
  • Ensure facility personnel are trained on device architecture and maintenance theory.
  • Integrate with the FLRAA Program Office to support documentation reviews, procedural execution, parts integration, teardown, packing, and other device-related activities.
  • Serve as the primary facility host for distinguished visitors, stakeholders, and Program Office personnel.
  • Lead site tours explaining simulator operations, facility capabilities, and the FLRAA MV‑75 Virtual Prototype.
  • Must be available for occasional weekend/holiday shifts
  • Up to 25% travel may be required

Required Minimum Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • 5+ years of direct experience in flight simulation maintenance, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems, or tactical systems support
  • Bachelors in relevant field of study or previous Aviation Military Training
  • Hands-on experience configuring flight simulators, operating an IOS, and performing maintenance/load testing on military diesel tactical generators
  • Active DoD Secret clearance

Work Environment: 

  • Environmentally controlled similator facility

  • Office setting

Physical Environment/Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): 

  • Lifting 25–50 lbs on occasion
  • Maneuvering inside equipment rooms, behind racks, or around simulator platforms
  • Standing for extended periods during
  • Handling of job-specific tools

Other:

  • Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issues credentials and IT access/applicants must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements. You will be required to provide two (2) forms of Federal I9 documents. You will be required to provide a REAL ID compliant identification to gain access to RSA and MSFC. Your name must match on both forms of ID, be original (no copies/digital), and be unexpired.
