We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector for our 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm) to evaluate additively printed and machined parts and components. In this role, you will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, using metrology equipment, and you will operate Coordinated Measuring Machine (CMM) and Blue Light inspection systems to ensure the parts and components meet rigorous aerospace and industrial standards. Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector for our 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm) to evaluate additively printed and machined parts and components. In this role, you will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, using metrology equipment, and you will operate Coordinated Measuring Machine (CMM) and Blue Light inspection systems to ensure the parts and components meet rigorous aerospace and industrial standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of parts and components using engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications.
- Utilize a variety of measurement tools invlusing micrometers, califpers, pin gages, optical comparators, and height gages.
- Inspect parts for critical surface irregularities suchs as cracks, pits, porosity, and scratches.
- Read, understand, and apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements from engineering prints.
- Operate CMM and Blue Light inspection systems, executing programs via Zeiss Calypso and GOM software.
- Support the develpment of comprehensive inspection plans forminitial production stages through final acceptance.
- Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming meaterials and parts according to internal and regulatory protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or technical trade school certification in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles and experience using measurement equipment and inspection tools.
- Good attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience operating CMM equipment.
- Prior experience in aerospace (AS9100) or additive manufacturing environments.
