Medical Billing Specialist in at DataDeletionTarget

Responsibilities:

• Daily review of provider generated billing and preparation of insurance claims

• Conversion of Billing to Claims and submission of Claims to Clearing House

• Scrubbing/electronic submission of insurance claims with timeliness and accuracy

• Research invalid and denied claims and submit appeals

• Day-to-day posting and balancing of posted receipts from patients

• Processing and posting of payments via ERAs

• Posting of Insurance Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) day-to-day, and balancing posted EOBs

• Daily and monthly balancing and accuracy of all postings

• Dealing with written and telephone inquiries from patients and insurance companies when necessary

• Management of the monthly revenue billing cycle process, including generating statements, reports, and patient collection phone calls

• Interaction with patients on collection accounts and arranging payment plans

• Previous experience with electronic and paper remittance processing

• Proven ability to manage a large account receivable (AR) in ideal fashion

• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes

• Knowledge of major insurance carriers, insurance verification, benefits, and referrals

• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance rules and regulations

• Ability to communicate with others in a courteous and effective manner

• Ability to work well with others, handle conflict in a reasonable fashion, and use excellent judgment

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of current MEDICAL billing experience, GI coding and billing experience preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, EMR and Billing Software, gGastro and gPM experience a plus.

• Motivated and extremely positive attitude

• Must be a self-starter who can work independently yet function in a fast-paced team environment
