Job Description

Content Producer

CROSSCOURT DTLA — Part-Time | $28–$35/hr

Crosscourt exists to unite and ignite Ballers through the power of basketball. That’s not a tagline — it’s the job.

No matter the title of your role, the heart of it is the same: you’re a community facilitator. We’re building a team of people who bring real energy, play team ball, and take pride in the room they walk into. People who get better because the people around them are getting better.

If that sounds like you — pull up. Welcome to Crosscourt.

The Role

The Content Producer owns the social media presence of Crosscourt DTLA — across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. This is an embedded, in-club role. You’re not managing socials from a desk somewhere; you’re on-site multiple times a week capturing real moments as they happen, editing same-day, and building the digital identity of CCDTLA from the inside out.

About 60% of the work is on-site at the club. The rest is remote. Expected commitment is 10–20 hours per week, with a minimum of 5 hours per week on the floor capturing content.

Who You Are

The best Content Producers at Crosscourt are genuine Culture Contributors — they’re embedded in the club, not just passing through it. They bring Emotional Intelligence to every interaction: building real relationships with members, staff, and creators in a way that makes the content richer and more authentic. They Communicate with a sharp editorial eye — knowing what to capture, how to frame it, and what will land on each platform. They play team ball with the GM and club staff, staying aligned without needing to be managed. And they bring a Baller Mindset to the work — tracking the numbers, studying what’s working, and continuously leveling up the content.

What You’ll OwnContent Creation & Publishing

• Own and execute the CCDTLA content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts — planning weekly, publishing daily.

• Capture and edit platform-native content on-site using iPhone: Reels, TikToks, Stories, photo dumps, game highlights, Player of the Week, schedule and standings posts.

• Same-day turnaround on time-sensitive content. Consistent publishing cadence — no management follow-up required.

• Develop platform-specific edits for Instagram and TikTok — distinct hooks, pacing, captions, and formats tailored to each audience. No lazy cross-posting.

• Opportunistically cross-post top-performing vertical content to YouTube Shorts. Long-form YouTube is out of scope unless a specific series is planned collaboratively.

Event & League Coverage

• Attend and document club events, league nights, partner activations, and special programming — capturing content in real time.

• Cover key partnership events with brands including Converse, Red Bull, Essentia, and others. On-brand documentation, every time.

• Build and maintain a library of evergreen club content that can be deployed across the calendar as needed.

Freelance Production Management

• Brief, direct, and manage freelance photographers and videographers for higher-production shoots — owning the shot list, logistics, deliverable specs, and turnaround timelines.

• Manage a monthly content budget of $500 with accountability for vendor selection, scheduling, and output quality.

Community Management & Creator Outreach

• Manage @crosscourtdtla across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube — posting, caption writing, and active community engagement.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with local hoopers, content creators, and culture figures in the DTLA scene. Coordinate visits, brief content moments, and manage the relationship through to execution.

• Escalate paid creator partnerships and contracts to the GM for final approval.

Collaboration & Alignment

• Weekly GM sync to align on upcoming announcements, launches, and the content look-ahead.

• Monthly calibration sync with the CCMIA Content Producer to share performance insights, build a shared playbook, and maintain visual consistency across clubs.

• Execute content within Crosscourt’s established brand strategy, voice, and visual system. Strategy is set at the brand level — this role executes against it at the club level.

Scope & Boundaries

The following are outside the scope of this role:

• Brand strategy, tone of voice, and visual identity system — defined at the brand level.

• Email, Discord, and SMS communications — managed by separate channel owners.

• Long-form YouTube video production — handled by a dedicated editor when applicable.

• Cross-club or corporate Crosscourt content.

• Paid creator contracts and paid media spend — Content Producer sources and briefs; GM owns the deal.

What You BringRequired

• A demonstrated portfolio of short-form social content — Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts — that shows strong creative instincts and execution. Personal, branded, or small business work all counts.

• Proficiency in iPhone-based capture and editing using CapCut, VN, or comparable tools.

• A clear understanding of Instagram and TikTok — their distinct audiences, formats, and best practices — and the discipline to create for each platform natively.

• Ability to manage a multi-platform content calendar with consistent output and without management follow-up.

• Genuine familiarity with basketball culture — the sport, its players, and its significance in the LA market.

• Availability to be on-site at CCDTLA (333 N Mission Rd) at least 2–3 times per week, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred

• Experience briefing and directing freelance photographers or videographers.

• Existing relationships in the DTLA hoops, fitness, or creator community.

• Experience with creator or influencer outreach and relationship management.

• Background building content templates and repeatable production systems.

Trial Period

The first 30 days are a paid trial at full hours and compensation. Evaluation focuses on three things: output quality, publishing cadence consistency, and integration into the club community. Continuation beyond the trial is subject to mutual agreement between the Content Producer and Crosscourt leadership.

CompensationHourly Rate

$28–$35/hour (W-2, Non-Exempt), commensurate with experience

Monthly Performance Bonus

Up to $400/month, tied to combined reach and saves growth across Instagram and TikTok (month-over-month). Guardrail: follower count may not decline on either platform. Bonus tiers established with the GM within the first 30 days based on baseline performance.

Content Budget & Equipment

• $500/month to engage freelance photographers and videographers, managed directly by the Content Producer.

• Crosscourt-provided content iPhone (with CC accounts pre-loaded), tripod, wireless microphone, and editing applications.

This role is for someone who is as comfortable in the gym as they are in the edit. You have taste, hustle, and the discipline to run a content calendar without being chased. You see a great moment, capture it, edit it, and get it out the same day. Great club content isn’t produced from behind a desk — it’s built by being in the room.

UNLEASH THE BALLER IN ALL. TRUST THE PROGRESS.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated portfolio of short-form social content — Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts — that evidences strong creative instincts and execution capability. Portfolio may be personal, branded, or produced for a small business or creator.
  • Proficiency in iPhone-based capture and editing using CapCut, VN, or comparable platform-native tools.
  • Clear understanding of the distinct audiences, formats, and best practices of Instagram and TikTok — with the discipline to develop platform-native content rather than cross-posting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-platform content calendar with consistent output and without management follow-up.
  • Genuine familiarity with basketball culture — knowledge of the sport, its players, and its significance in the Los Angeles market.
  • Availability to work on-site at CCDTLA (333 N Mission Rd, Los Angeles) at least 2–3 times per week, including evenings and weekends for league nights and events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience briefing and directing freelance photographers or videographers.
  • Existing relationships within the DTLA hoops, fitness, or creator community.
  • Experience with creator or influencer outreach and relationship management.
  • Background building templates and repeatable production systems to improve content efficiency over time.

Physical & Working Requirements

  • Ability to move freely throughout the club facility during sessions and events.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, active sports environment including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to carry and operate lightweight content equipment (iPhone, tripod, wireless microphone).
