Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Founding Developer Relations Lead in Italy.
This is a rare opportunity to define and build a Developer Relations function from the ground up within a high-growth, crypto-native infrastructure organization. In this role, you will shape how developers and AI agents discover, understand, and integrate with next-generation financial APIs, SDKs, and infrastructure tools. You will operate at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and Growth, helping transform technical capabilities into intuitive, widely adopted developer experiences. This is not a traditional DevRel role — it is a founding leadership position focused on building systems, tooling, and narratives that drive real product adoption. You will directly influence product design, developer experience standards, and ecosystem strategy. The role is ideal for a builder who thrives in ambiguity and wants to establish a long-term developer platform strategy in an AI-driven and agent-native future.
Define and execute the end-to-end developer adoption strategy across APIs, SDKs, CLIs, wallets, and emerging AI-agent interfaces, ensuring measurable growth in usage and integrations.
- Build and scale developer activation across the ecosystem, including onboarding flows, quickstarts, reference implementations, and integration tooling.
- Drive adoption metrics such as API usage, SDK installs, production deployments, GitHub engagement, and agent-based interactions.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Product teams to ensure every release is developer-ready, well-documented, and optimized for integration.
- Create technical content, including documentation, demos, launch narratives, and developer storytelling that simplifies complex infrastructure.
- Develop and deliver presentations, keynotes, and live demos at industry conferences and developer events.
- Influence product direction by identifying developer friction points and advocating for ecosystem needs internally.
- Help define how AI agents interact with financial infrastructure, including retrieval systems, MCP-like interfaces, and agent-native workflows.
- Establish the foundations of a world-class Developer & Agent Interface organization, including processes, tooling, and culture.
- Proven experience building and scaling developer adoption at a leading developer platform or infrastructure company (e.g., API-first, cloud, fintech, or AI platforms).
- Strong technical fluency with the ability to read APIs, review integrations, and collaborate closely with engineering teams as a peer.
- Demonstrated success in driving measurable adoption outcomes beyond awareness, including usage, retention, and integration metrics.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with experience creating technical content, demos, and launch materials.
- Strong builder mindset with a bias toward shipping, experimentation, and iteration in fast-paced environments.
- Deep understanding of modern developer ecosystems, workflows, and platform adoption dynamics.
- Familiarity with AI-native and agent-driven systems, including retrieval-based architectures and emerging agent tooling concepts.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to shape developer experience and platform design.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, early-stage environments where structure must be created, not inherited.
- Bonus: experience with wallets, identity systems, authentication flows, or financial infrastructure APIs.
- Competitive compensation package with equity participation.
- Fully remote-first work environment with global flexibility.
- Opportunity to define and lead a foundational function within a fast-growing infrastructure organization.
- High-impact role with direct influence on product direction and platform strategy.
- Exposure to cutting-edge AI, agent-based systems, and crypto infrastructure innovation.
- Strong engineering-driven culture with deep technical collaboration.
- Opportunity to build long-term organizational structure, tools, and DevRel strategy from scratch.
- Dynamic, mission-driven environment focused on financial technology and open infrastructure.
