Job Description

Senior AI Engineer, AI Services

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior AI Engineer, AI Services in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of applied AI engineering, multi-agent systems, and enterprise software delivery, focusing on building production-grade AI solutions that transform complex business workflows. You will design and deploy advanced agentic systems that combine LLMs, retrieval pipelines, and orchestration frameworks to solve real-world enterprise challenges. Working in a consulting-driven, client-facing environment, you will translate business needs into scalable AI architectures that integrate across modern data and cloud ecosystems. This position involves hands-on engineering across the full lifecycle—from prototype to production—ensuring reliability, observability, and security in high-impact systems. You will collaborate closely with enterprise stakeholders while contributing to reusable accelerators and internal AI platforms. This is a highly technical and impactful role for engineers passionate about shaping the future of agentic AI in production environments.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will design, build, and deploy advanced AI and multi-agent systems while ensuring scalability, reliability, and enterprise-grade performance:

  • Develop and deploy multi-agent systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, and LlamaIndex.
  • Build custom AI agents for document processing, workflow automation, SDLC acceleration, and enterprise business orchestration.
  • Integrate LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval systems using vector databases such as Pinecone, Elasticsearch, Snowflake Cortex, and pgvector.
  • Design and implement production-grade AI workflows using event-driven architectures, batch processing, and real-time pipelines.
  • Connect AI systems to enterprise platforms including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jira, Oracle, SharePoint, and internal APIs.
  • Build observability, testing, and reliability mechanisms for agentic systems, including monitoring, guardrails, and failure handling.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solution architectures and delivery roadmaps.
  • Contribute to reusable engineering components, internal frameworks, and AI solution accelerators.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support the growth of internal expertise in agentic AI systems.
Requirements

This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals combined with hands-on experience in AI systems, orchestration, and enterprise integration:

  • Strong Python engineering skills, including APIs, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience building production systems using multi-agent frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, LangChain, etc.).
  • Proven experience designing ETL, workflow automation, or distributed data pipelines using tools like Kafka, Airflow, EventBridge, Celery, or AWS services.
  • Hands-on experience with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation systems (Pinecone, pgvector, Elasticsearch, LlamaIndex).
  • Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and production deployment practices.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems and APIs in real-world production environments.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills in agile or consulting environments.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced environments while delivering reliable, production-grade solutions.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation with On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $200,000–$250,000 annually
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Paid time off, company holidays, and parental/caregiver leave
  • Access to advanced technology environments and internal AI engineering labs
  • Continuous learning support, certifications, and professional development opportunities
  • Hybrid/remote flexibility depending on engagement and client needs
  • Exposure to cutting-edge generative AI and enterprise transformation projects
