This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Solutions Engineer (Python/Airflow) in the United States.

This is a highly versatile, hands-on engineering role focused on building and integrating modern data-driven applications across web, backend, and cloud environments.
You will work across the full stack, combining product engineering, data pipeline development, and infrastructure ownership in a fast-moving technical environment.
The role centers on designing and delivering scalable solutions using Python, Airflow, and cloud-native tools to support both end-user applications and backend automation.
You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to build APIs, optimize data workflows, and enhance system performance at scale.
A key part of the role involves developing and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring reliability, observability, and efficiency across systems.
This position is ideal for a technically adaptable engineer who thrives in cross-functional environments and enjoys switching between application development and data engineering challenges.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using modern frameworks such as Next.js and Node.js, ensuring responsive and scalable user experiences.
  • Develop backend services and data processing scripts in Python, supporting automation, integrations, and system reliability.
  • Build, orchestrate, and monitor data workflows using Airflow and dbt, ensuring efficient and reliable pipeline execution.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs to support internal and external system integrations.
  • Manage cloud-based infrastructure in AWS, applying best practices for deployment, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Optimize PostgreSQL databases through schema design, query tuning, and data migration management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rapidly adopt new tools, frameworks, and evolving technical requirements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js development, with strong expertise in Next.js and API-driven architectures.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Python for backend development, data engineering, or automation use cases.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS, with experience deploying cloud-based applications.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Airflow and dbt, as well as workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier).
  • Strong SQL and PostgreSQL expertise, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows, including branching, code reviews, and deployment practices.
  • Ability to move fluidly between frontend, backend, and data engineering tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a track record of identifying bottlenecks and delivering efficient technical solutions.
  • Continuous learner with adaptability to rapidly evolving tools, frameworks, and engineering practices.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Remote-first role (EST or CST time zone alignment required)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Flexible work arrangements and supportive work-life balance
  • Access to wellness programs and employee support resources
  • Learning and development opportunities to support continuous growth
  • Wellness Fridays and additional time-off initiatives (where applicable).
