Requisition Number:R160567 Nuclear Medicine Team Lead - Cardiology - Roanoke (Open) How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:This position is located at Carilion Clinic Cardiology in Roanoke at 2001 Crystal Spring Avenue, Suite 203. This is a full time position, working, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, no weekends or holidays.

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist leads communicate, organize, and problem solve with a multidisciplinary team within Carilion Clinic Cardiology for quality cost effective care delivery, promotes team building and programs for attaining quality service, satisfaction and financial goals, performs procedures and assesses quality, and provides care and services to Cardiology patients in the Roanoke Valley.

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Leads, communicate, organize, and problem solve with a multidisciplinary Cardiology based team among Roanoke based facilities for quality cost effective care delivery. Promote team building, program development and accreditation readiness, for attaining quality service, satisfaction and financial goals. Performs procedures and assesses quality. Provides care and services to patients of all ages. Meets and exceeds customer requirements.

  • Demonstrates leadership, team building and employee development skills. Provides direction, support, coaching and mentoring for team members.
  • Facilitates effective, open, two-way communication and resolution of workplace issues.
  • Organizes and oversees daily operations and activities, as delegated by the Supervisor, to assure the delivery of quality care to patients of all ages.
  • Fulfills technologist responsibilities, conducts procedures, and maintains clinical and professional competency. Assists the Director in assuring team competency.
  • Assists the Director with interviewing and hiring of employee candidates, performance evaluation, corrective action and problem solving.

  • Meets or exceeds customer requirements and provides quality service in a caring and professional manner. Actively commits to team-building efforts, provision for cost- effectiveness, service excellence, and respect for everyone by demonstrating actions which support the corporate mission, vision and values, goals and objectives, and service standards.
What We Require:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a CAHEA School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent. Prefer Associate's Degree in Science.


Experience: 3 to 5 years of functional knowledge and experience in Nuclear Medicine and demonstrated leadership skills and abilities. Licensure/Certifications/Registration: Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by either NMTCB or ARRT. AHA BLS-HCP required.


Other Minimum Qualifications: Good interpersonal, communication, leadership, teambuilding, and employee development skills
