Certified Screener
The Psychiatric Certified Screener provides care in the acute care setting within the scope of practice defined by the Screening Law and other regulatory standards.
As a Certified Screener, a typical day might include the following:
- Assures safety in practice by maintaining a realization of their own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge by communicating with and utilizing resource persons/programs available,
- The Psychiatric Screener individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patients needs
- Works in harmony with other staff members of interdisciplinary team, assisting the Patient Care Manager and others as needed, to achieve best service possible to patients
- Responsible for supervising and assisting in patient care issues as well as follow up on assigned tasks and for consistently setting and evaluating priorities

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- MSW/MA degree in related field, or BA/BS plus three years of prior experience in a psychiatric setting, one of which is in crisis setting or enrolled in a masters program with two years of prior experience in a psychiatric setting, one of which is in a crisis setting
- Must have the ability to work in stressful situations
- Requires an active NJ Driver's license to complete community psychiatric outreach using a company vehicle
- Requires alternating weekend and holiday coverage
