About the Role:

The Sr. Regional Technology Lead - LAC owns technology strategy, support, and execution for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, translating regional business priorities into a coherent technology roadmap and driving delivery of key initiatives. Based in Miami, FL and reporting to the VP, Guest Product, this individual serves as the primary technology advisor to the President, LAC Region, providing regular updates on the status, risks, and business impact of key technology initiatives, projects, and decisions. The role leads a team of project managers and technology leads, ensuring the region has reliable day-to-day technology support alongside disciplined execution of strategic projects.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain the technology strategy and roadmap for the LAC region, aligned to regional business priorities and enterprise technology direction.
  • Serve as the primary technology advisor to the President, LAC Region, providing regular, clear updates on key initiatives, projects, risks, and decisions requiring input or approval.
  • Build strong working relationships with regional business leaders, franchisees/partners, and functional stakeholders to ensure technology investment reflects regional needs.
  • Represent the LAC regions technology interests and requirements in enterprise-level planning and prioritization discussions.
  • Lead execution of key regional technology projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality targets are met.
  • Establish and maintain governance routines (status reporting, RASCI/ownership models, risk and issue tracking) across the regional project portfolio.
  • Partner with global/enterprise technology teams, vendors, and third parties to coordinate delivery of shared platforms and region-specific implementations.
  • Manage prioritization and sequencing of the regional project portfolio in partnership with regional business and technology leadership.
  • Manage relationships and performance of key LAC technology vendors, including contract deliverables, service levels, and issue resolution.
  • Own regional technology support outcomes, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and systems, tools, and platforms remain reliable for the business.
  • Define and monitor support SLAs and operational health metrics across the region, driving continuous improvement in service quality.
  • Ensure appropriate escalation paths and incident management processes are in place and followed for critical regional technology issues.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers and technology leads, setting clear priorities, expectations, and accountability.
  • Build team capability and bench strength to support a growing regional technology footprint, including hiring and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.

Qualifications, Competencies & Traits:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in technology strategy, delivery, or IT management, including experience supporting Latin America and/or Caribbean markets.
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing project managers, technology leads, or similar technical/delivery talent.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of technology projects, including budget, timeline, and risk management.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with experience advising senior business leaders (President/VP level) on technology matters.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional and cross-regional teams, including global/enterprise technology functions.
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish and/or Portuguese proficiency strongly preferred given regional scope.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically within the LAC region.
  • Experience in quick-service restaurant (QSR), retail, or multi-unit franchise environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with regional technology support models (help desk, field support, in-store/restaurant technology) preferred.
  • PMP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent project/program management certification preferred.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed organization spanning regional and global technology teams preferred.
  • People Management: Yes leads a team of project managers and technology leads.
  • Scope: Owns regional technology strategy, execution, and support outcomes for the LAC region.
  • Decision Making: Serves as primary technology advisor to the President, LAC Region; makes strategic and portfolio decisions in partnership with regional and enterprise leadership.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 20%, within the LAC region.

Compensation: The base pay range for this role is $158,900 - $198,600.

Pay within this range will be determined in good faith based on job-related factors, which may include skills, experience, education/training, location, and internal equity.
