You will serve as a trusted point of contact, answering questions, resolving issues, and helping members understand their coverage options.
The position combines customer service, benefits expertise, research, and problem-solving in a purpose-driven environment.
You’ll support members through important moments such as open enrollment, life changes, and coverage updates.
Success requires empathy, attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple inquiries efficiently.

- Respond to incoming member calls and emails, providing clear and accurate information about benefits, costs, coverage, and provider options.
- Help members compare and understand benefit choices during open enrollment, life events, and coverage changes.
- Investigate and resolve benefit-related questions and issues by researching plan details and identifying appropriate solutions.
- Make outbound calls when additional research or follow-up is required, ensuring members receive timely updates and resolutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of member interactions, research, and case outcomes using internal systems.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of commercial health plans, Medicare coordination of benefits, and group health plan structures.
- Deliver a consistently empathetic, professional, and service-focused member experience.
- Manage multiple inquiries and priorities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Use digital tools and internal systems to research information, document interactions, and support efficient case resolution.
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service, benefits, healthcare, insurance, or a related people-focused environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen actively, demonstrate empathy, and explain complex information clearly.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple inquiries and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately research, document, and communicate benefits information.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer-based systems.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of healthcare benefits, insurance plans, benefits administration, and coordination of coverage.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, particularly when handling member concerns or unfamiliar situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive personal and healthcare-related information.
- Adaptability, professionalism, and a genuine interest in helping others navigate complex healthcare decisions.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment and maintaining a focused, productive home office.
