Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Manager - Professional Experience based in United States.
This is a high-impact product leadership role focused on shaping the end-to-end experience of healthcare professionals using a large-scale marketplace. You will own the journey from discovering and picking up shifts to building a strong reputation, understanding earnings, and returning over the long term. The role places Professional Lifetime Value at the center of product strategy, connecting engagement and retention with marketplace health and business performance. You will work closely with the product leader responsible for the facility side to balance the needs of both sides of the marketplace. Working within an augmented product model, you will define priorities, product direction, and non-negotiables while delivery partners determine implementation. This is an opportunity to influence a mission-driven platform while working autonomously in a distributed environment.
- Own the professional experience end to end, spanning discovery, shift placement, earnings visibility, reputation, and long-term engagement.
- Define, establish, and continuously evolve Professional Lifetime Value as a key measure of product success, providing regular reporting and insights to leadership.
- Develop and execute a retention strategy designed to keep healthcare professionals active on the platform over multiple years rather than focusing solely on initial activation.
- Shape product experiences that help professionals build their reputation, improve visibility, and become more easily discovered by healthcare facilities.
- Improve earnings transparency by helping professionals understand what they earn, why they earn it, and how they can improve their earning potential.
- Use data and experimentation to identify opportunities across discovery, engagement, placement, and retention.
- Partner with the product manager responsible for the facility experience to ensure product decisions support a healthy and balanced two-sided marketplace.
- Collaborate effectively across organizational and team boundaries, influencing delivery partners and stakeholders without relying solely on direct authority.
- Connect product decisions to marketplace performance, unit economics, and broader business objectives.
- 7–9 years of professional experience in product management, with meaningful experience working on the supply side of a marketplace or platform.
- Demonstrated experience solving for professional or user engagement and retention, rather than focusing primarily on availability or acquisition.
- Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics and the ability to connect product strategy with unit economics and financial outcomes.
- Excellent data instincts, including the ability to define instrumentation before development, analyze product performance, and distinguish retention challenges from discovery or engagement issues.
- Proven ability to use quantitative and qualitative insights to inform product strategy and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, particularly when working across teams or with partners outside your direct reporting structure.
- Ability to operate autonomously, make sound decisions in ambiguous environments, and clearly communicate priorities and trade-offs.
- Comfortable working asynchronously and collaborating effectively with distributed teams across different time zones.
- Strong product judgment, strategic thinking, and a customer-focused approach to solving complex marketplace problems.
- Fully remote position within the United States with an environment designed to support asynchronous collaboration.
- Inclusive and collaborative workplace where diverse perspectives and individual contributions are valued.
- Access to comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage, with benefits beginning on the first day.
- Generous paid time off and company-paid holidays, including flexible floating holidays.
- 100% 401(k) employer match up to 6%.
- Paid parental leave to support growing families.
- Wellness support, including access to mental health resources.
- Access to hybrid-friendly office spaces designed to provide optional opportunities for in-person collaboration.
- Opportunity to work on a healthcare marketplace addressing significant workforce challenges while directly influencing professional engagement and long-term marketplace health.
