About The Role

As a Seasonal Manufacturing Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations within the Manufacturing department, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met on every shift. In this hourly, full-time role, you will lead and develop a production team, coordinate workflow across equipment and workstations, and ensure that production schedules are executed on time and to specification. You will be expected to model safe work practices, maintain a high level of product quality, and identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires at least 2 years of relevant manufacturing or supervisory experience and calls for a hands-on leader who can balance people management with floor-level operational oversight.

The position reports to the Director of Manufacturing. The pay rate is $27-$28/hour.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production employees in the Manufacturing department to meet safety, quality, and output targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations; promote a strong safety culture and immediately address unsafe behaviors or conditions.
  • Monitor production processes, work orders, and schedules to ensure on-time completion and efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Assign work, set priorities, and adjust staffing and resources as needed to meet changing production requirements.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members on standard work, equipment operation, safety practices, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor product quality, verify adherence to specifications, and initiate corrective actions to address quality issues or process deviations.
  • Review and interpret production schedules, work instructions, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and clear communication to the team.
  • Troubleshoot production problems, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions to minimize downtime and scrap.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, yield, scrap, and labor efficiency, and use data to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other support teams to resolve equipment issues and optimize production processes.
  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement activities, such as 5S, lean initiatives, and process standardization to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, shift handoffs, and performance check-ins to ensure alignment, communication, and accountability.
  • Document and enforce adherence to company policies, work rules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and corrective action processes in partnership with HR and management.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation as required by company standards and customer or regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Approximately 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least some experience in a lead, coordinator, or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and applicable safety standards.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and production issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly convey expectations and provide feedback.
  • Comfort using basic computer systems and production software for reporting, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of quality standards and basic quality tools (e.g., inspection methods, control checks, nonconformance reporting).
  • Ability to work on the production floor for extended periods, including standing, walking, and lifting within job-related limits.
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, including possible overtime and weekends, based on business needs.
