Job Description

We are seeking a Sushi Chef skilled in the art of sushi-making. Pay $27.00/hr - Paid Weekly
Sushi Chef Responsibilities:

Prepare and execute a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls, with precision and artistry.

Ensure the highest quality and freshness of all sushi ingredients, following proper handling and storage guidelines.

Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation to uphold the hotel’s luxury dining standards.

Work closely with the culinary team to develop innovative sushi menu offerings and seasonal specials.

Ensure all food preparation areas, tools, and workstations are clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and sanitation standards.

Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering fresh seafood and other ingredients, and minimize waste.

Engage with guests when necessary, offering insights into sushi ingredients and preparation techniques.

Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely service and an exceptional guest experience.
Sushi Chef Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, or fine dining establishment.

Extensive knowledge of traditional Japanese sushi techniques and modern sushi trends.

Strong knife skills and expertise in handling fresh seafood and other sushi ingredients.

Attention to detail and a passion for presentation, ensuring every dish is a work of art.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining precision.

Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards, particularly related to raw seafood handling.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
