The Role
We are currently recruiting for 2 Skilled Labourers to support our Midstream client in Conklin, AB.
Shift: 10 and 4, 10 hours per day
Start Date: May 28, 2026
This project is estimated to be 6 weeks in duration.
Compensation/Benefits
• Wages range based on experience
• Overtime at 1.5 x after 8 hours per day
• 10% vacation and stat pay on all regular hours worked
• Benefits 50/50 split after 90 days with the company
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Complete tasks in line with OCL and industry standards, procedures and practices
- Assist skilled trades as required
- Operate basic hand and power tools safety and effectively
- Set up and dismantle temporary structures, barricades and safety fencing if required
- Perform spotting and flagging duties when required
- Read and understand site-specific instructions prior to each shift
- Site cleaning and preparation
- Digging and trenching
- Maintain a clean and organized work area / job site
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings
- Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Skilled Labourer in industrial construction environments
- Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and hazard awareness
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual labour (lifting up to 50lbs, bending, standing and working in various weather conditions)
- Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
- Ensure a safe team environment. Strong teamwork skills with a positive and reliable work ethic
- Strong communication skills. Ability to follow and understand instructions given.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Must have the following safety tickets: WHMIS 2015, CSTS 2020 (or equivalent), H2S Alive
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
