Job Summary
Supports Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations of multi-site high volume warehouses ensuring efficient and accurate receipt and shipment of goods and materials, ensures inventory accuracy, and maintains compliance with safety, quality and operational standards and regulations. With the Manager, leads a team of exempt and non-exempt employees.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership support to frontline supervisors, manage exempt and hourly employees.
- Assist with development of practices and procedures to support achievement of department and Company KPI’s.
- Monitor inventory of packaging materials and full goods, oversee physical counts/audits, and ensure adherence to internal policy.
- Assist manager with planning, forecasting, and control of budget to include labor planning and utilization.
- Manage all on-board forklift scanners, radios, cradles and WMS equipment.
- Maintain all policies to remain complaint with internal, federal, state and local regulations. Responsible for compliance with GMP, Fire codes, sanitation, pest control, OSHA., FDA and TTB.
- Assist with designing and maintaining warehouse layouts and workflows.
- Manage spotting services.
- Manage drop trailer lots.
- Manage production material recycling program.
- Support other operations departments as needed.
- Serve as WMS “Super User” as primary point of contact for any issues with the system.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Business, Supply Chain Management or related preferred. Will consider combination of education and work experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing and material handling environment of similar scale.
- Experience leading in a union environment.
- Team oriented approach to leadership.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
