Assemble and/or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.
Primary Responsibilities: Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, operational sheet, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble components and/or products
- Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gun
- May perform machine operation or use various testing systems; makes minor adjustments per instructions
- May package material or product per standards or drawings
- Maintain inventory of product in workstations
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the components and/or product meets quality standards
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Rework and/or repair assembled components and products according to engineering specification changes
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Follow changing instructions from Team Leader related to job assignments or as directed by supervisor
- Willing to learn multiple operations within various work cells.
- Must be able to complete basic math.
- Must be able to work hours and overtime
Performs additional duties and functions as directed by the Supervisor
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- Must have a MINIMUM of 6 months of manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to push/pull or lift a minimum of 30 pounds
- Must be able to bend/stoop, twist/turn, and reach/grasp
- This is a hearing conservation area; therefore, hearing protection is required to be worn at all times in the area.
Positions are for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Hours are:
2nd - 4p-12a
3rd - 12a - 8a
Monday - Friday
