Assemble and/or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.

Primary Responsibilities: Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, operational sheet, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble components and/or products

Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gunMay perform machine operation or use various testing systems; makes minor adjustments per instructionsMay package material or product per standards or drawingsMaintain inventory of product in workstationsPerform quality work checks to ensure the components and/or product meets quality standardsIdentify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identifiedRework and/or repair assembled components and products according to engineering specification changesPerform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety proceduresFollow changing instructions from Team Leader related to job assignments or as directed by supervisorWilling to learn multiple operations within various work cells.Must be able to complete basic math.Must be able to work hours and overtime

Required Experience/Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED or higherMust have a MINIMUM of 6 months of manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time.Must be able to push/pull or lift a minimum of 30 poundsMust be able to bend/stoop, twist/turn, and reach/graspThis is a hearing conservation area; therefore, hearing protection is required to be worn at all times in the area.
