Essential Duties:

  • Collecting and verifying employee and timekeeping data

  • Computing wages, deductions, commissions, benefits, etc

  • Reviewing computed wages to ensure accuracy

  • Updating payroll information for promotions, transfers, terminations, and new hires

  • Recording and maintaining employee records and payroll transactions

  • Preparing statements reflecting earnings, taxes, and deductions, issuing and distributing paychecks

  • Answering escalated manager questions and resolving issues regarding payroll and benefits

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant industry and government regulations

  • Preparing payroll reports for management and auditing purposes


Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in ad-hoc special projects, developmental opportunities, and other tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of full cycle payroll processing experience, utilizing a third party HCM system

  • Demonstrated understanding of wage and hour laws, tax laws, federal, state, local laws, and regulations affecting payroll and benefit plans

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, payroll systems, and database software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ADP WFN

  • Previous experience with employee benefits.

  • Experience in the restaurant industry, in a payroll position.

The work is typically performed in an office with a moderate noise level.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms to type. The employee must regularly talk or hear on the telephone and in person with individuals and groups. The employee must rarely lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Extensive keyboard typing is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, extensive computer screen work, and the ability to adjust focus to produce or review reports.

This position requires occasional local travel.
