Position Title: Branch Manager in Training - Construction

Branch Manager in Training is a unique opportunity to participate in a training program that can lead to a Branch Manager position here at American Fence Company. This is a two year program where you will rotate through every part of the business; installation, rental, counter, sales, finance, and leadership. By the time you complete this program, you will be ready to run your own branch. AFC is looking to open new locations, and we need managers ready to step in. Pay rate for this position is $60,000 + DOE plus bonuses. Must be willing to travel and relocate after completing the training.

Program Includes:
Learning the full AFC business from the ground up — installation, rental, counter, and field operations
Working alongside an experienced Branch Manager who will mentor you and hold you accountable
Developing project management, sales, and customer relationship skills
Studying branch financials — P&L, margins, job costing, and budgeting
Leading crews, coach team members, and handle escalated issues
Completing a one-week rotation through AFC's corporate office (marketing, AR, IT, purchasing, legal)
Branch Manager Job Duties Include:
Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
Review job site requirements for anything unusual and approve contract
Plan, schedule, or coordinate fencing project activities to meet deadlines.
Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, and delivery dates.
Create or approve contract addendums for subcontractor work.
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or subcontractor to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or problems.
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients.
Apply for and obtain all necessary permits or licenses including blue stake or other utility line marking service.
Review panel inventory and ensure customer accountability for missing or damaged panels.
Inventory yard weekly for variance and track down cause.
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Bachelor's Degree: Preferred - Business Administration, Business Management, Construction Management or similar
Experience Required:
1 plus years of experience in business to business sales
2 plus years of experience in construction, rental sales, or other related field
2 plus years of experience in management
Experience in project management preferred
Understanding of P & L, inventory control, budgeting, collections, and logistics
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience in E1 or other business or accounting system preferred
