- Track work-in-process, schedule progress, capacity utilization, and production status to help ensure plans remain realistic and achievable.
- Adjust schedules as needed in response to material shortages, equipment downtime, engineering changes, shifting customer priorities, or other operational needs.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve shortages, bottlenecks, and scheduling conflicts before they impact delivery.
- Escalate critical risks, expedite priority work orders, and support recovery plans that reduce production interruptions and protect customer commitments.
- Maintain accurate planning information in the ERP/MRP system, including work order status, due dates, routings, scheduling details, and related production data.
- Communicate schedule changes, priorities, delivery risks, and recovery actions to shop leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and customer-driven priority updates while minimizing disruption to current production.
- Review planning and production metrics to identify opportunities to improve schedule attainment, throughput, workflow, inventory alignment, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Participate in production meetings, capacity planning discussions, and continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing lead times, improving planning accuracy, and eliminating waste.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
